Our Guiding Principles

Innovation. Execution. Integrity.

Innovation

Innovation is what drives success in business.  At Clark, we strive to develop innovative solutions to our client's problems as well as uncover successful strategies developed by others, because it doesn't matter where an idea comes from, just the result it produces... but these two aspirations do not come easily.  We are passionate about our work and strive to develop our knowledge-base and expertise every day.  Through systematic design, Clark consultants have developed a powerful network of healthcare professionals we lean on to keep us up-to-date.  This network includes: hospital CEO's and finance executives, clinical practice leaders and specialists, pharmacy experts, HR professionals, insurance executives, medical billing personnel and politicians.  In addition, Clark consultants review multiple healthcare periodicals and various other publications daily to insure we keep up-to-date on the latest market changes, trends, and concepts.  It is our core belief that innovation is proceeded by superior knowledge, and at Clark we strive to learn and grow every day.

Execution

Execution is an under-valued concept in today's business world.  At Clark, execution and accountability are at the forefront of everything we do.  Having worked for large, publically-traded brokerage firms prior to founding Clark, we saw firsthand the lack of accountability and execution at these highly profitable organizations.  Over time we grew increasingly uncomfortable with the focus on broker revenue instead of client results.  If you are paying your broker five or even six digit commissions, shouldn't they be held accountable for performance?  At Clark, we structure our client compensation agreements to reflect the quality of our work.  At the beginning of every plan year, we sign a performance guarantee with each of our clients assuring we perform and execute to their standards.  If our client plans perform poorly, we only receive a base service fee.  Our success is tied to our ability to execute... Our success is tied to your success.

Integrity

When founding Clark, we were passionate to ensure we instilled integrity and ethics into the core of everything we do.  In an industry laden with conflicts of interest and questionable compensation tactics, we have steered away from anything that could affect our objectivity.  The Clark organization does not accept any large gifts or trips from insurance companies nor do we accept "contingent" or "over-ride" commissions based on the volume of business we place with a given carrier.  In addition, our compensation is always disclosed clearly at the beginning of every relationship and audited anytime at the client's request.
